  That is HIS reality, but it is not mine.

  This is your reality too. You are conscious of the FACT that - Usain Bolt can run 100 meters in 9.58 seconds!
  It is on record and provable. It has been demonstrated and accomplished.

  It is also a reality that neither you nor I can run that fast.

  Truth is not subjective it is always objective. Just because politics, religion and business, presents lies as truth does not alter truth just people's minds.

  Truth is subjective, just like reality is.

  This is an amazing statement!

  For example if I think that New York is in Canada , then I am fooling myself. This idea has no basis in reality. I am in fact unconscious, in the dark, deluded. Unless I change my false belief I will be unable to visit New York.

  Once I realize my mistake and bring my thinking in line with reality – New York is in America – I am conscious, in tune with reality, truth. Now I can function in the real world and avoid arriving in the wrong place.

  All people are in fact unconscious in some area of their life. It takes effort and honesty to strive for greater Consciousness.

  If someone remains silent and does not move, then we have no proof that they are thinking. Your posts here are proof that you are thinking. You have responded to comments made on this thread that can be proved to exist.

  But thinking is not necessarily consciousness. Just because we can prove we are thinking does not automatically mean the conclusions we come to are correct. They have to be verified by fact. Consciousness requires truth.

  Existence is Identity, Consciousness is Identification.

  This is a sobering and helpful guide to what happens in our mind.

  Once we have identified something outside of ourselves that evidently exists, we can then claim consciousness of that thing. If however we claim consciousness of something that exists only in our mind, with no proof anywhere that it really exists, we are just using our imagination or day dreaming. It is a trick of the mind.

  So a feeling that something exists because we want it to or have been told it does, is not enough to claim that we know it does. Consciousness of anything, requires validation in the external world. In my own words, phenomena is required.

  Faithfully applying this rule would eliminate most peoples pet beliefs.

  Exactly How Did (Jehovah) God Scramble the Languages

  we all know the account in gen 10: 1-10, where jehovah scrambles the languages of the people building the tower so they can't communicate with each other anymore.. and exactly how was this accomplished?.

  on the physiological level, speech and language is "coded" by physical connection between neurons in our brains.

  there is much more to be explored by science on this and it surely is well beyond my knowledge on the subject, but nevertheless we can all agree that learning a language, be it a native tongue or a second, third, etc language later in life requires time and effort for those neuron connections to form.. rewind back to said gen account.

  So if God could miraculously scramble millions or billions of neurons in thousands or millions of human minds instantaneously such that they all spoke new, fully-formed, yet previously unheard languages....

  Is this the same god that is incapable of putting together a bible which doesn't contradict itself; leaving people that want to believe, confused enough to have to spend their lives trying to make sense of it? (Perry excluded- of course)

  And Christians unable to agree amongst themselves what its message is?

  Why is the bible silent on Lazarus?

  the only fully human man recorded to have been resurected from the dead and the bible says nothing.. the religious leaders of jesus day were all over people that jesus 'cured' etc, and the bible records these events.

  questioning them, the parents etc.. but lazarus?

  zip, nada, nothing save the account that he was resurected.

  isn't it quite possible that we have been on this earth forever and will be with no ceator.

  god has lived in the heavens forever with no creator.

  if there is a god does he wonder who created him, there are people and we wonder who created us?

  God is a human concept. Bringing 'a God' into the equation will ruin any chance of even beginning to to get a glimpse of what we are a part of. The big Daddy in the sky idea is a non-runner.

  You are viewing the universe from your your limited human perspective. The universe does not think in the way that we do. It does not count time by the measures that we do. It doesn't plan or have a goal. It is. It happens.

  It is impossible to accurately grasp what is happening in our mind because we can only view one little piece at a time. To understand we would need to consciously hold millions of pieces of the jigsaw in our mind in a single instance, which we cannot do. For me, it is enough to be a part of this awesome happening and accept that we cannot fully understand.

  There is more chance that an amoeba will one day understand us, than that we will fully understand our existence let alone the existence of the universe.

  What's WRONG with this Ten Plague description?

  moses brought 10 plagues upon egypt to change pharoah's mind about letting jehovah's people go.. the 5th plague is to destroy only the egyptian livestock:.

  6 and the next day the lord did it: all the livestock of the egyptians died, but not one animal belonging to the israelites died.. .

  a few days later the 7th plague is described:.

  It think a re-shuffle is called for. If the plagues are reshuffled we might come up with a sequence that make sense.

  Or just tear this embarrassing page out of the Bible and add it to the big pile of dis-guarded Bible pages that has outgrown what is left.

  Why all your Witness friends are like Prostitutes!!!!

  witness friends looooove you....when your putting in the witnessing/meeting hours.

  when you agree like a robot to everything the watchtower says.....{read...underline.....give comment.....repeat} like prostitutes who adore you when your "paying" ...if the money stops flowing they are gone!

  people you've known for 15 years....you took them to hospital....lent them money.....grieved with them....gone.

  This is unfair to prostitutes. They work on a supply and demand basis and customers get what they pay for.

  The WT society has defrauded millions of its members by writing dud cheques. The membership never got what it was promised.

  Personaly I view the average Witness as the victim of a scam.
